Essex Medical Training was set up by David Jones with the aim to promote and deliver high standard healthcare related courses to all sectors. David's career in healthcare began over 35 years ago with the London Ambulance Service, where he trained as a paramedic. David's passion and ability to impart knowledge was quickly noticed, seeing him progress to become one of the youngest instructors in the service at the time. Now, with a reputation for high standards, reliability and passion in the delivery of courses, he continues his hard work and commitment to providing high quality instructor led courses. David's Essex Medical Training boasts a bank of experienced healthcare educators and instructors which includes experienced Paramedics and Advanced skill practitioners. Over the years, customers have included large NHS providers, Government bodies, Fire and rescue services, GP surgeries, schools and care home groups
Kieran Jones
Trainer
Kieran is a practicing Paramedic, with an NHS ambulance service background and a Diploma in Paramedic studies from Anglia Ruskin University. Kieran is skilled in providing clinical assessment and treatment of patients in the pre-hospital setting, as well as delivering high quality training courses for Essex Medical Training to a wider audiance.
Tom Jakeman
Trainer
Tom is an experienced pre hospital care provider, who is dual qualified as an Urban search and rescue Paramedic & Firefighter. With extensive experience in trauma care, including hostile environment casualty management during his time with the RAF, Tom brings a great depth of knowledge to the courses that he delivers for us.
Emily Taylor
Trainer
Emily is an experienced, operational Paramedic & Mentor who consistently provides high quality resuscitation training as part of our healthcare delivery team. Learner's benefit from Emily's current experience in emergency care, and are often extremely interested to hear topics covered using real life examples & scenarios to reinforce them.
Tony Mackenzie
Trainer
Tony is an experienced Paramedic who spent many years providing clinical care to patients in London during his career with the London Ambulance Service. Since leaving LAS, Tony has been regularly providing high quality resuscitation & First Aid training sessions to other healthcare professionals, emergency services & members of the public alike.
Jeannette de Vries - Wobbes
Trainer
Jeannette is our lead trainer for moving & handling related subjects, and is an extremely knowledgeable Neuro-Physiotherapist. Jeannette's successful career has seen her working in various settings including acute healthcare & rehabilitation centres, developing an impressive expertise and subject knowledge. Learner's benefit from Jeanette's experience during the high quality training sessions she provides as part of our healthcare delivery team.
Michelle Ford
Trainer
Michelle is an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse, who leads our mental health education courses. She is able to draw on a wealth of experience when passing on knowledge & skills to attendees of our suite of specific mental health first aid courses as well as CPD days for proffessionals. Michelle is also qualified to deliver patient moving & handling courses, and also spends a lot of time supporting the healthcare education team with this.
Tracy Wise
Trainer
Tracy has been a professional trainer for over 20 years teaching a wide range of health, safety and well-being courses. She began teaching first aid as a Scuba Instructor and over the years has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge that has led to her working for organisations such as St John Ambulance and The Royal Mencap Society including the training and development of trainers and quality assurance teams. In addition to her first aid and health and safety portfolio, Tracy is also a qualified Stress Management Consultant.
