Moving and Handling – Level 2 QCF, including patient handling.(1 day or half day course).
A full or half day program aimed at staff responsible for the care of patients including moving, handling and repositioning. Our training team specialise in annual statutory and mandatory training, therefore this course would suit nurses, carers, ambulance staff or anyone involved in the provision of patient care.
The course syllabus includes;
- Legislation and regulations.
- Structure and function human spine
- Biomechanical principles.
- Practical workshop
- Assistance to stand
- Transfer boards
- Use of slide sheets
- Confined space falls
This course is specifically designed and written with the customer needs in mind, therefore it can include equipment specific to the client’s business, such as carry chair for ambulance services or hoist training for care providers.
This course includes a mix of practical and theory sessions, it is a very interactive training event and staff will need to be fit, active and willing to participate.
There will be a written assessment at the end of the course to confirm learning, our instructors are not only very experienced trainers, but also experienced patient handlers and will therefore be able to guide the delegates through problem solving workshops based upon their local challenges concerning patient moving and handling.
A professionally printed manual will be issued to every course delegate, our instructors will be on hand to support all our learners through the training experience.
